HIGHLIGHTS
The feature photograph presents a
beautiful scene of two young girls in white "Áo Dài" walking in a
bamboo garden. Áo Dài is traditional Vietnamese long dress. The image of women
dressed in Áo Dài always leaves an impression of elegance and grace. The beauty
of young girls in white Áo Dài has been the subject for many poets and writers
in Vietnam literature.
This collection showcases some landmarks of the Nguyễn dynasty with mausoleums
of Emperor Thiệu Trị, Tự Đức và Khải Định. The Nguyễn dynasty was the last
ruling family of Vietnam. Their rule lasted a total of 143 years. Among these
landmarks, Tự Đức's tomb features the most beautiful royal architecture of the
Nguyễn dynasty.

Several traditions of our country have been captured in these photographs. Calligraphy has had a long history in Vietnam. It still played an important part in Vietnamese life. In Lunar New Year, people would get a calligraphy with well wishes from Ông Đồ, a skillful calligrapher, hoping they will come true.
